Jacob Sigle was just 23 years old when he decided to start his own company in the small town of Kornwestheim. Six years later, his young German company united with the representative of a leather merchant in Stuttgart, Max Levi. Under the name " J. Sible and Co. "," they soon employed 125 staff in 1897 and built a workshop of four floors. In 1904 the brand was renamed Salamander, with the famous logo of a green salamander. Today, the Salamander shoe combines quality and know-how with elegance and a subtle combination of timeless and modern, to fit with your chic dressing every day!More
