The history of the Façonnable brand began in 1950 with the opening of a small tailor shop on Rue Paradis in Nice, France, by Jean Goldberg. At that time the Façonnable name did not yet exist, and wouldn’t exist for another 11 years. In 1958 the shop made custom costumes for Hollywood stars appearing at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1961 Jean Goldberg's son, Albert Goldberg took over the shop from his father and renamed it Façonnable, referring to the technical term specific to mean tailor-made fashion in French. Under his guidance the brand began to extend and opened its first stores in 1973 in Monte Carlo, Cannes, St Tropez and Marseille. It was not until 1984 that Façonnable saw its first shop in Paris. The perfect blend of classic elegance yet up to date with fashion trends, the brand Faconnable will brighten up your day with a chic, refined French touch!
