Web browser parameters: How to Activate JavaScript

In order to activate JavaScript on your web browser, follow the instructions below. If you don't see your browser in the list, please consult the relevant help sites online.

Internet Explorer (6.0)

  1. Select Tools from the menu.
  2. Then click on Internet Options.
  3. Click on Security.
  4. Then click on Custom Level.
  5. Scroll down the window until the section Scripting.
  6. Under Active Scripting select Enable, the click on OK.

Internet Explorer (7.0)

  1. In the Tools drop-down menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Then click on Security.
  3. Then select the Custom Level.
  4. Locate Scripting near the bottom of the list.
  5. Under Active Scripting, select Enable,
  6. Then hit OK.
  7. Answer Yes to the following conformation box.
  8. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
  9. Refresh the web browser page.

Mozilla Firefox (2.x and 3.x)

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the Tools menu click on Options.
  3. In the options list, click on Content.
  4. In the Web contents section, click on the box Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click on Advanced to open the dialogue box for the advanced JavaScript options.
  6. Under the section Authorize Scripts, tick the boxes for the scripts you want to authorize (1st and 3rd boxes).

Apple Safari (1.0)

  1. In the menu select Safari.
  2. Then select Preferences.
  3. Then select Security.
  4. Then check the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
